For those who served

The men and women that serve the public endure unique stresses and challenges as a direct result of the job they do. Whether they are still on the job, or server years ago and still face these challenges everyday, Equine therapy could be a life changing solution.

First Responders

Our Police and Firefighters see things on a daily basis that would seriously upset the toughest of most people. We are told that if there is not an outlet or a release of the emotions included with these situations there can be negative effects. It hard for most people to convey how they feel to loved ones or professionals therefore in any situations there becomes repression of feelings.
Horses are “Empaths” and many say that is Science Fiction. We are here to tell you that is not true. Horse do have the power to take feelings, negative emotions even certain ailments from a person and in short or over a period of time can reduce their negative effects. It has been know that Therapeutic Riding, Passive Participation or just to sit and watch a horse has medicinal benefits.

Military & Veterans

Our young men and women that get sent into harms way go with the expectation that they will be cared for upon their return. In many instances that is a huge endeavor. Emotional hardships, physical disabilities and even amputations can have devastating results. Everything involved with being around horses has a positive result on all of these challenges. The motion of sitting on a moving horse, even at a walk has benefit to a human body. The emotional benefit of interaction with these proud and patient partners is truly immeasurable but most agree beneficial at almost a cellular level. The expectation and anticipation of again coming back to see your equine partner we are told makes the days and weeks of recuperation shorter and more bearable. At H.E.A.R.T. we introduce Military Heroes to our Equine Heroes so they can work out together many of the issues that have presented themselves. There is a method here of introducing, teaching, experiencing, constantly evaluating, and then re-evaluating the work that is done finishing with feedback from all involved. “Horses can Heal, Horses do Heal, Horses have Healed”
